Virginia Fugitive wanted for Rape-Abduction Arrested in Jonesborough
May 22, 2014 - Fugitive wanted in Norfolk Virginia for Rape and Abduction captured in Washington County.
According to Sheriff Ed Graybeal, Officers received information that Michael Robert Mitchem Jr. was wanted for Rape by force and Abduction by the Norfolk Virginia Police Department. Deputies had received information that the suspect was possibly armed with a 45 caliber Glock handgun and was in route to an address on Tavern Hill Road, Jonesborough.
The Washington County Sheriff's Office Investigation lead them to 257 Tavern Hill Road, Jonesborough and after doing surveillance the suspect was identified as a passenger in a vehicle pulling into the driveway of 257 Tavern Hill Road, Jonesborough.
Mr. Michael Robert Mitchem Jr., 22 of 257 Tavern Hill Road, Jonesborough TN was arrested and charged with being a Fugitive from Justice, Criminal Impersonation and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.
Ms. Heather Nicole Stane, 21 of 257 Tavern Hill Road, Jonesborough TN was found to be the driver of the vehicle and a further check of her license found them to suspended. She was arrested for Driving on a Suspended License 1st offense.
Michael Robert Mitchem Jr is being held in the Washington County Detention Center without bond and has a court date for today. May 22, 2014 at 1:30pm.
Heather Nicole Stane is being held in the Washington County Detention Center under a $1,000.00 bond and has a court date for today. May 22, 2014 at 1:30pm.
