Where are you Reverend Sharpton?

Lauren Burk and Eve Marie Carson were brutally murdered; their lives swept away in a senseless act of violence, as the doors to their future were just opening. Family and friends will never again see their smiles, hold their hands, or hear them say, "I love you." What they could have given to others or the world itself, has been stolen in a few seconds of barbarity.

Courtney Lockhart has been arrested and charged with murdering Lauren Burk, as well as other crimes, including attempted rape. After his arrest, Lockhart confessed to killing Lauren, and also divulged that he had committed five armed robberies over a span of one week.

Demario James Atwater and Lawrence Alvin Lovett, Jr. have been arrested and charged with the murder of Eve Carson. At the time of Eve's murder, both men were on parole. Lovett and another man, Stephen Lawrence Oates, have also been charged in connection with the robbery and murder of Abhijit Mahato, a doctoral student at Duke University. Oates was also wanted for a string of 18-armed robberies. Needless to say, these "pillars of the community" had prior criminal records.

Silent in all of this, is the voice of Reverend Al Sharpton. The same Al Sharpton who demanded justice for Tawana Brawley and Crystal Gail Mangum, both of whom fabricated stories of rape and degradation. Why haven't we heard from you in the cases of Lauren Burk and Eve Carson, Reverend Sharpton? Why aren't you standing before the cameras and demanding justice for the families of Lauren Burk and Eve Carson? Is it because Lauren and Eve are White, and the men who stand accused of the crimes against them are Black? Yet, if the victims in these cases were Black and those accused were White, you would be in the public eye every day screaming racism. You would be stirring the pot of racial hatred, and once again calling for justice. But, in these cases you will sit back and act as though nothing happened.

You may call me a racist. You may call me a bigot. You may even call me a no good son-of-a-bitch if you so desire. But, when it comes to crimes such as were perpetrated against Lauren Burk and Eve Carson, I believe in total equality. Each and every person, regardless of race, who commits crimes of brutality, with heartless disregard for human life, should be executed as quickly as possible and eliminated forever from society. Now is the ideal time for you to prove that you are a man of integrity and honor, and stand up to ask for parity in justice. Stand by the Burk and Carson families, and support them in their time of sorrow and suffering. It's a perfect opportunity. The only question remaining is, will you accept it?

If you fail to do so, the next time you stand at the public podium, which indeed you will do, and demand to know why there is racism in America, be certain you face a mirror when you ask. There, Reverend Sharpton, you will clearly see one of the reasons looking back.

Black crime isn't racist to liberals

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Four men in Orlando were charged with a hate crime after they pummeled a 62-year-old woman and her two mentally-challenged companions at a public park after they didn't pay a "fee" for being white, police said...Four black men face several charges in connection with the incident. According to Heather Mac Donald, "Though blacks, 24 percent of New York City's population, committed 68.5 percent of all murders, rapes, robberies, and assaults in the city last year, according to victims and witnesses, they were only 55 percent of all stop-and-frisks." See HERE.

According to the government, "In 2005, offending rates for blacks were more than 7 times higher than the rates for whites." Blacks made up almost 50 percent of homicide victims, while only being 13 percent of the population. Nearly all of that was black on black, while black on white murder rate is about 3 to 1. Ref HERE

Major Findings

There is more black-on-white than black-on-black violent crime.

Of the approximately 1,700,000 interracial crimes of violence involving blacks and whites, 90 percent are committed by blacks against whites. Blacks are therefore up to 250 times more likely to do criminal violence to whites than the reverse.

Blacks commit violent crimes at four to eight times the white rate. Hispanics commit violent crimes at approximately three times the white rate, and Asians at one half to three quarters the white rate.

Blacks are twice as likely as whites to commit hate crimes.

Hispanics are a hate crime victim category, but not a perpetrator category. Hispanic offenders are classified as whites, which inflates the white offense rate and gives the impression that Hispanics commit no hate crimes.

In number of hate crimes and crime in general committed by Hispanics have been blamed on whites in the national statistics.

The entire report was denounced as racist, but facts are not racism.

Biography

James Lilley is a former Marine and highly decorated 25 year veteran of the Howard County, Maryland Police Department. During his career with the police department he worked in the Uniformed Patrol Division, Criminal Investigations Division, investigating crimes from auto theft to burglary, robbery and murder. He also spent 3 years as the Supervisor of the Forensic Services Section, working with Crime Scene Investigators (CSI) gathering and processing evidence at various crime scenes. Mr. Lilley then moved on to supervise the police department’s Street Drug Section, which was responsible for making 2,000 drug related arrests in just over two years. With those arrests came a reputation that was feared by those in the drug culture and loved by families wanting to live a peaceful existence in their own neighborhoods.

Known as the “Cops in the Black Shirts” they came out of nowhere dressed as construction workers, telephone repairmen, housing inspectors, survey takers and Mr. Lilley also posed as a drug dealer during a sting operation. Arrests made by officers in his section led to the seizure of 116,000 doses of LSD along with a large quantity of Marijuana and Peyote in Oregon. Mr. Lilley and the officers in his Street Drug Section were also featured in the book Undercover, written by Hans Halberstadt and published by Simon and Schuster in August, 1998. In addition to his regular duties he taught at the Police Academy and directed In-Service training classes for veteran officers. Some of Mr. Lilley’s many awards include the Medal of Valor, 4 Bronze Stars, 4 Unit Citations, a Governor’s Citation and dozens of awards for outstanding service to the community.

While serving with the United States Marine Corps, James was stationed in Okinawa where he began practicing the Martial Art of Karate. He began his study almost 44 years ago under Sensei Takeshi Miyagi and was the first American ever to be promoted to the rank of Black Belt by Mr. Miyagi. In August, 2002 Mr. Lilley was promoted to the rank of Eighth Degree Black Belt and is a certified and licensed teacher by the Okinawa Shorin Ryu Karate Do Association. Additionally, while he served with the Howard County Police Department, he was certified as a Physical Training and Defensive Tactics Instructor by the Maryland Police and Corrections Training Commission.
