Classical Vs. Modern Liberalism

Liberalism remains most popular among those in academia and liberals commonly tend to be highly educated and relatively affluent. According to recent surveys, between 19% and 26% of the American electorate identify as liberal, versus moderate or conservative.

A 2004 study by the Pew Research Center identified 19% of Americans as liberal. According to the study, liberals were the most educated ideological demographic and were tied with the conservative sub-group, the "Enterprisers," for the most affluent group. Of those who identified as liberal, 49% were college graduates and 41% had household incomes exceeding $75,000, compared to 27% and 28% as the national average, respectively.

Liberalism also remains the dominant political ideology in academia, with 72% of full-time faculty identifying as liberal in a 2004 study. The social sciences and humanities were most liberal, whereas business and engineering departments were the most conservative.

The high educational attainment and prominence of liberal thought on American campuses can largely be attributed to a correlation between education and ideology. Generally, the more educated a person is, the more likely he or she is to hold liberal beliefs.

David Sirota explains "What's the Difference Between a Liberal and a Progressive?" "...there is a fundamental difference when it comes to core economic issues. It seems to me that traditional "liberals" in our current parlance are those who focus on using taxpayer money to help better society. A "progressive" are those who focus on using government power to make large institutions play by a set of rules."

Charles J. Sykes says of white liberals,

A central tenet of modern liberalism...is the unshakeable conviction that white America is deeply and irredeemably racist. For three decades, America's white liberals have invested in the belief that America is so incapable of racial fairness that society needs a panoply of laws, preferences, quotas, set-asides, and remedial programs to ensure that black people are treated fairly.

All of those policies are fundamentally based on the belief that America is deeply racist, that their fellow Americans are personally biased and institutionally prejudiced - consciously and unconsciously, intentionally and structurally; racist in history and practice.

Malcolm X on White Liberals:

In this deceitful American game of power politics, the Negroes are nothing but tools, used by one group of whites called Liberals against another group of whites called Conservatives, either to get into power or to remain in power...The whites who are now struggling for control of the American political throne are divided into "liberal" and "conservative" camps...

The white liberal differs from the white conservative only in one way: the liberal is more deceitful than the conservative. The liberal is more hypocritical than the conservative...the white liberal is able to use the Negro as a pawn or tool in this political "football game" that is constantly raging between the white liberals and white conservatives.

To quote Thomas Sowell's "Black Rednecks and White Liberals,"

"By cheering on counterproductive attitudes, making excuses for self-defeating behavior, and promoting the belief that 'racism' accounts for most of blacks' problems, white intellectuals serve their own psychic, ideological, and political interests. They are the kinds of friends who can do more harm than enemies."

Summery of this page, Liberals or Progressives control most of the public education in this country. They fail minority children who were once capable of learning, but now under the control of socialists and their absurd "theories" and politics are being reduced to a permanent underclass.

The simple fact is the far left dominates college campuses, conservatives in particular Christians, working class whites, etc. face massive hostility if even allowed on campus at all. Censorship and a fascist atmosphere crushes debate.
