Johnson City Tennessee Police Reports March 2013

On March 23, 2013, officers of the Johnson City Police Department responded to a Home Invasion Robbery at 108 West Pine Street, Johnson City, Tennessee. Officers found the residence had been entered by a Hispanic male and black male subject. The black male entered the residence carrying a long barrel weapon.

The suspect's were able to take the victim's wallet with an undetermined amount of cash along with two cell phones, and Fentenyl pain patches and were able to escape the scene before arrival of officers. One of the victims was struck in the face with the stock of the shotgun and received a laceration during the offense. He was transported to the Johnson City Medical Center, where he was treated and released.

On Friday, 03-22-2013, at approximately 7:55 pm, a narcotics transaction occurred at 1106 W. Market St. Investigators made contact with Erica Ford DOB 05/08/1974 and Michael Ford DOB 10/08/1974. After a brief investigation, it was determined that both Erica and Michael Ford were there to sell marijuana. Erica and Michael Ford were both charged with the sale of Sch. VI, Marijuana.

The Fords were booked at the Washington County Detention Center and are being held on a $10,000 bond each. The Fords will be arraigned Monday, 03-25-2013, at 9:00 a.m. in Washington County General Sessions Court.
On March 31, 2013, Officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Mark Wayne Wharton, date of birth 01-20-91, of 110 Happy Valley Rd, Johnson City . The arrest resulted from an investigation of a motor vehicle driving the wrong way on N Roan St, before driving over the curb and through the grass of 2122 N Roan St.

The driver was identified as Mark Wharton who was found with 2 open containers and 20.5 grams of marijuana. This was Wharton's 4th D.U.I, and his driver's license was also revoked for D.U.I so in addition, he was charged with driving on a revoked license 3rd.

Wharton was arrested and transported to the Washington County Detention Center, where he is being held without Bond. Wharton's preliminary hearing and Bond hearing is scheduled for April 01, 2013 at 1:30 p.m. in Washington County Sessions Court.
On March 18, 2013, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Sherry Miller, 46 yr old, 325 Edmond St., Apt 216, Bristol, VA, and charged her with Driving Under the Influence and Violation of the Habitual Motor Offender Law.

The arrest resulted after an accident investigation at Timberlake/Mountainview Rd in Johnson City. Ms. Miller is currently being held at the Washington County Detention Center in lieu of a $6,000 bond. She is scheduled for an arraignment in Washington County General Sessions Court on March 19, 2013, at 1:30 pm.
On March 19, 2013, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Luke M. McKinney, 33 yr old male, of 115 Treadway Ln, Johnson City, and charged him with Possession of a Schedule I Drug and Driving on a Suspended License.

The arrest occurred after officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle he was driving for running a stop sign. He is currently being held at the Washington County Detention Center in lieu of a $10,000 bond. Mr. McKinney is scheduled to appear in Washington County General Sessions Court on March 19, 2013, at 1:30 pm.
On Wednesday the 20th of March, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Elizabeth Katie Bralley (27) and Caraline Marie Baker (22), from Kingsport, TN, for Theft over $500. They were arrested for shoplifting women's clothing from Belk located at the Johnson City Mall, 2011 N. Roan Street. They are being held in lieu of a $5,000 bond at the Washington County Detention Center. Both, Bralley and Baker are scheduled to be arraigned in Washington County General Sessions on March 21, 2013 at 1:30 p.m.
