On 08/03/2012, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Vincent C Holmes, Black/Male 45 YOA of 504 Swadley Rd. Apt 3 Johnson City, due to Domestic Aggravated Assault and Domestic Simple Assault. The arrest is due to the defendant striking his girlfriend on the head with a lamp and then strangling her with the lamp's cord during an argument.

During the argument the defendant also forcefully shut a bedroom door on another juvenile resident and as a result smashed the hand of the juvenile. The defendant has been charged with Domestic Aggravated Assault and Domestic Simple Assault. He is being held at the Washington County Detention Center on a $20,000.00 bond. He is scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court on Monday August 5th 2012 at 1:30pm.

Johnson City Police Department responded to 225 E Main Street in reference to vandalism. Upon arrival officers were advised that Christopher S. Branson, 21 yoa, had thrown a bottle at a window of the business which resulted in the window breaking. Mr. Branson, of 255 Bob Crookshanks Rd, Jonesborough, TN, was placed under arrest for Felony Vandalism and transported to the Washington County Detention Center. Mr. Branson is scheduled to appear in General Sessions Court on 08/06/12 at 1330 hours to be arraigned.

On 08/06/2012 at approximately 2300 hours, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Charlie J. Cummings, 67 yoa, of 301 Royal Circle, #81, Johnson City, TN, on charges of Aggravated Assault and Possession of a Handgun While Under the Influence. The arrest stems from an incident at 301 Royal Circle where officers were dispatched in reference to an assault involving a handgun.

Upon arrival, officers made contact with Mr. Cummings outside his apartment where he had placed the gun that he used to threaten two of his neighbors. Mr. Rowe is currently being held in the Washington County Detention Center in lieu of a $61,000 bond. He is scheduled to appear in Washington County Sessions Court on 08/07/2012 at 0900 hours.

On Friday, 08-10-12, officers of the Johnson City Police Department arrested Kerry Kidd (54), Black-Male, 800 Montgomery St, Johnson City, TN., charging him with Auto Burglary and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Kidd was observed by witnesses entering an unlocked vehicle in downtown Johnson City and take items from the inside of it.

The witness called 911 and was able to give a detailed description of the suspect. Officers located Kidd a short distance away with the items from the vehicle in his possession. Kidd is being held at the Washington County Detention Center under a $6,000.00 bond and is scheduled to appear in Washington County General Sessions Court on Monday, 08-13-12, at 9:00 AM.

On 08/28/2012, at approximately 1:03 a.m., Officers of the Johnson City Police Dept responded to the area of 401 Ashe St in reference to an unknown disturbance. Upon arrival the suspect, William McGee, W/M, 27 years of age, 507 W Highland St Johnson City, TN, 37601, was seen running from the scene with his girlfriend. After locating the two a short distance away, it was learned McGee has an active warrant for a Probation Violation out of Charlottesville, VA.

The suspect was placed under arrest and transported to the Washington County Detention Center without incident. The suspect was charged with being a Fugitive from Justice for a Crime in Another State. His bail was set at $10,000 and he is scheduled to appear in Washington County General Sessions Court on 08/28/2012 at 9:00 a.m.
