The Earth's Temperature is Self-Regulating
by Lewis Loflin
Now let's turn to the hypothesis of human induced climate change. Google the term "human induced climate change" and www.scidev.net is the first to appear with the headline, "Scientists united on human-induced climate change." As they open their dialog; "In the broadest consensus yet on climate change, scientists have agreed..." That is not about science or the scientific method which isn't about consensus. Their second paragraph reveals "Poorer countries, which are less able to adapt to change, will suffer the worst..." and who did we get this from? "The UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC)..."
Everywhere we look it's the UN and it's IPCC over and over again. www.scidev.net reveals their real mission and that of the UN on their 'about us" page to quote, "Through our website www.scidev.net we give policymakers, researchers, the media and civil society information and a platform to explore how science and technology can reduce poverty, improve health and raise standards of living around the world." The real agenda is what they now call environmental justice which is the same old 'social justice' but on a global scale.
In fact nearly everything listed on this subject refers to a "consensus" of 600 selected scientists working for the UN and various national governments at the UN. The head of this UN United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change is Dr. Rajendra Pachauri. He is a mechanical engineer and economist and has no credentials in this field at all. See Implementing the Global Fart Tax Dr. Pachauri is typical for the "600" scientists whose 'consensus' is being passed off as science.
This IPCC business has been going on at least since the late 1980s. While we can debate their obvious political motivations, let's look at how we apply proper science and the scientific method. Their base claim is humans cause global warming (now it's climate change) as a product of modern industrial societies that produce so-called "greenhouse" gases such as common CO2.
This global warming is dramatic starting in the 1970s (by coincidence with the rise of the radical environmentalism) from what has been they claim a thousands of years of stable climate. In other words there must be a direct relationship between human activity and global warming. Thus as CO2 increases the temperature must rise with the increasing level of the gas.
That is their hypothesis, so we must begin the process of collecting data and and conducting experiments. The first question is in regards to CO2 as being a greenhouse gas and is it primary reason for the earth's temperature. They cite Venus as an example of this because its atmosphere is nearly all CO2 and is so hot it can melt lead.
Sounds great but is total nonsense because Venus is nothing like the Earth. Besides being much closer to the Sun, Venus has no water, which covers three-quarters of the earth. Yet scientists tell us the early Earth had an atmosphere of mostly CO2 but was never hot enough even then to be like Venus. Even when millions of years ago when the world was covered by vast tropical swamps with many times present CO2 was lush, green, and filled with life. Ever hear of the dinosaurs?
The primary greenhouse gas on Earth is water vapor. The IPCC disputes this, claiming CO2 is the problem, but presents no laboratory proof to prove it. They rely on computer models that have failed 100% of the time over the last 40 years. But this can be quickly disproved by direct experimentation. Let's take two locations that are near the equator in say Central America and the Sahara Desert. Both get hot during the day, but at night are very different. Both would have the same concentration of CO2 in the atmosphere, but the Sahara can get cold at night while Costa Rica stays hot and muggy.
The Sahara simply radiates its heat back into space very quickly due to lack water. This is also why the Sahara is barren. But Costa Rica is covered with vast forest and stays warm due to the presence of the greenhouse gas water vapor. That same water vapor also regulates the overall temperature though the hydrologic cycle where water evaporates and condenses releasing heat into space. The hotter it gets, the greater the evaporation/condensation and thus the earth is self-regulating. That is how the dinosaurs lived on an earth with many times the CO2 we have today or will have in the future.
20th century not warmest, researchers find Extracts from a University of Delaware study showing climate change as normal and modern claims are mild compared to earlier historical trends. Ever wonder how Greenland got it's name? In fact this very process of geological and climate change is what drives biological evolution, an ongoing natural process.
Scientists Excited by Arctic Ocean Ridge Finds This illustrates again just how little we really know about the earth when a series of new volcanoes formed under the Arctic. That is why we must question these things.
