Should we halt Muslim immigration?

Note: There's also a lot material on this site regarding Muslims. Let me be clear it's Sharia Law and Saudi Wahhabism and related sects I oppose, not Islam or Muslims as such. Many of the atrocities committed by "Muslims" in fact have little or nothing to do with Islam itself. But to pretend the Muslim community in general doesn't have serious social and integration problems is also unrealistic. See Do I hate Islam and Muslims?

One of the primary problems is the influence of homegrown leftist radicals often poisoning Muslim culture. Under the guise of "multiculturalism" and demanding mass immigration Muslim and otherwise, only to destroy and undermine western culture. They care nothing for Allah because they are often atheists or idolaters. They discourage assimilation, and often edge on social tension with "hate" crime laws designed to stifle discussion and intimidate opponents.

They are the real problem, not the typical Muslim trying to escape poverty, war, and yes even Muslim violence in their home nations. But at the same time all immigration (including non-Muslims) must cease until those already here are dealt with and integrate into their new culture. Bruce Bawer in Tolerating Intolerance: The Challenge of Fundamentalist Islam in Western Europe fundamentalism and radicalism are a major problem. Muslims lock themselves into self-imposed ghettos, then build a type of mini-state identical to what they left in Turkey, Iraq, or Pakistan. This includes many practices and traditions clearly criminal in Western society and law. America and Europe present two differing problems according to Bawer:

Muslims in America tend to be more affluent, more assimilated, and more religiously moderate than their co-religionists in Europe...in Western Europe, where Islam, generally speaking, offers a somewhat different picture. For various reasons, Western European Muslims are more likely than their American counterparts to live in tightly knit religious communities, to adhere to a narrow fundamentalist faith, and to resist integration into mainstream society...

America faces a threat Europe doesn't have known as the Nation of Islam. This is a homegrown black racist hate group rejected by most real Muslims. The only problem is they often find allies among other radical Muslims and produce plenty of converts, including black criminals. They also find allies among white racists and anti-Semites. While the radical left also finds common cause with Nation of Islam and radical Muslims. (Or Islamists or Islamo-fascists as I call them.)

So we must be aware that many legitimate Muslims probably don't support this and we must look closer at who supports the Islamo-fascists as well. In addition is the problem of President Bush and the US state department refusing to deal with Saudi Arabia and its exporting of Wahhabism and sponsorship of terrorism. They often fund and control most Mosques in the West and while many Muslims may reject them, I don't know how well.

As much as I want to believe the above I can't. Not until I see real proof that most oppose terrorism and what is on You Tube below:

Anti-Muslim Racism?

While it's clearly stated that Islam is not a race, anyone that questions Islam or anything else the Left promotes is called a racist. This is used to silence discussion on important issues. Quoting Mideast expert Daniel Pipes in the New York Sun November 22, 2005,

"The word racist merely serves Leftists and Islamists as an all-purpose pejorative, a magical insult that discredits without regard to accuracy. Racism is now increasingly used to mean something far beyond its dictionary definition..." Now we have a new invention called cultural racism based on "a belief that differences in the culture, values, and/or practices of some ethnic/religious groups are "too different" and are likely to threaten "community values" and social cohesion.."

So now racism means anything the Left wants it to mean and never applies to white people when they are attacked. Racism applies only to racial issues and not to immigration, culture, religion, ideology, law enforcement, or military strategy, so don't waste your time trying that on me.

I can hear the leftist' race baiters now, but my position (and that of most Americans) is clear: Islam is not a race, and protecting one's culture and borders is not racism. You have the freedom to follow Islam, I have the freedom to reject it.

Unacceptable Family Practices

"Two Iraqi men, aged 28 and 34, who live in Lincoln, Nebraska, married two Iraqi girls, aged 13 and 14, in a private Islamic ceremony attended by family and friends. The two men have been arrested, charged with the sexual assault of a child and could be sentenced to 50 years of prison because the marriage age in Nebraska is at least 17 years of age. Their attorney argued that the men didn't know about the law and that they were merely following their religious custom of courtship and marriage."

I don't care if it's "custom" or whatever, there are several criminal acts here. Not only were the girls underage, but this "private" ceremony is illegal as well. America has rules on legal marriage and who can/can't perform them. In addition, there should be a state marriage license. We had similar problems recently with certain Mormon sects with private ceremonies marrying 12 year old girls to 30 year old men, and practicing polygamy as well. Authorities are beginning to ignore polygamy with Muslim immigrants as well. This will not be tolerated by me from Muslims or non-Muslims. You live in the west, you follow the law. My criticism in most of these cases is the growing refusal of Western governments to enforce the law "show respect" for other cultures. These are the same people clamoring for "women's" rights in the West, unless they're Muslim women. Wrong, they must enforce the law to protect the INDIVIDUAL women or girl, period.

There are Muslim groups in the US and Canada demanding separate civil and legal systems within the Muslim community. This must not be tolerated for any reason! That is what equal treatment under the law means. Believe what you want, break the law go to jail. I believe individual rights and protection, over the welfare of the "group." Multiculturalists, or cultural Marxism, believes in group rights and nothing for the individual. There are no rights without individual rights and equal and impartial enforcement of the law. If that constitutes hate, then too bad. Muslims are of equal worth to anyone else and secular state law overrules custom, religion, or political correctness.

Quoting Women, Immigration, And Multiculturalism's Big Lie by Brenda Walker,

Nothing illustrates the total fraud of multiculturalism more than women's devalued status in many "traditional" cultures. The multiculturalist assumption that all cultures are equal is clearly refuted...Muslim societies are among the most barbaric places on earth in terms of human rights..."honor killing," a practice where women are murdered for the smallest affronts to rigid social codes...According to Amnesty International, hundreds of such murders occur every year in Pakistan...These nations are home to cultural practices like slavery, female genital mutilation and purdah (lifelong house arrest for women)...

In fact the problem of female genital mutilation was so bad the US Congress outlawed the practice in 1996-97. Bawer points out that many European governments refuse to enforce European laws on Muslims families or protect women and girls from imported barbarism. With due respect to the many decent Muslims, this should never be tolerated.

More Outrage in Berlin

Berlin Germany is the home of 200,000 Muslims, mainly Turks. Berlin has been plagued by "honour killings" of women and girls at the hands of relatives. The reasons vary from opposing arranged marriages with relatives to leaving Islam or dating a non-Muslim boy.

Yet the Muslim authorities go to great pains to claim it's not Islam, but refuse to denounce it or stop it. The worst outrage is the refusal of German, Dutch, etc. authorities to equally enforce civil laws against Muslims. Muslim women don't deserve the same treatment of non-Muslim women. All of this is in the name of "multiculturalism." When the victims seek help from authorities, a Berlin social worker put it this way,

"It's natural that when something happens, people think we should respond. But it's not always the right thing to hold special events at these times, and then for it all to stop again. Our job is to explain Islam...

Excuse me??? Why is it a Muslim women isn't worth protection from violent Muslim culture? If we continue to allow these people to immigrate into the West, it's our way or the highway. That means they live under western laws and that the west equally enforces them.

If that isn't bad enough, in the August 29, 2006 New York Times article, German Suspects From Opposite Sides of a Lebanese Town two Lebanese Arab immigrants got nailed for terrorism. It should also be noted that the terrorists that bombed targets in Istanbul, Turkey were Turks from Germany. In Germany, like much of the West, the local mosques are funded and controlled by Saudi Arabia. They spread their hate-filled Wahhabism with impunity and are behind much of the terrorism and Muslim extremism among Sunni Muslims and in Pakistan.

Italy Is Roiled by Murder of a Pakistani Woman and Other Violence Involving "Immigrants" August 23, 2006 New York Times

On Aug. 11 of Hina Saleem, a 20-year-old woman whose family moved here from Pakistan was found buried with her throat slit. Hina had been killed because her traditionalist Muslim father objected to her Western lifestyle. "She smoked and wore revealing, low-slung jeans like many young women...News reports said she had been living with an Italian man." Under Islam it's death for a Muslim woman to have relations with a non-Muslim man, married or not.

The body was found after her boyfriend reported her missing. Her father, uncle and two other men were involved, all Pakistani. “She was always happy,” said Multani Gurmail, her boss at the Antica India restaurant, where she had worked as a waitress. “I knew she had some problems. I didn’t realize how bad they were.”

This killing along with others has opened a debate on what happens to the children of Muslim immigrants that want to be Italian, German, or American, and not Muslim like their parents want. Local Muslims and her mother claimed Islam had nothing to do with it.

Her other crimes according to her mother, “She stayed out without explanation, we never knew where she was and with whom, she was simply a daughter who did not obey,” Within days a young Italian woman was found dead in a Brescia church. A Sri Lankan immigrant was arrested. On Aug. 21, a Morocco immigrant was arrested and charged with killing a notable painter, and a Pakistani man was knifed to death during what appears to have been a robbery. It hard to tell much from the news report because of the liberal stance and political correctness of the New York Times.

To continue, "According to the Catholic charity Caritas, there are about 110,000 immigrants among the 1.1 million people living in the province of Brescia. Pakistani leaders estimate there are about 10,000 people of Pakistani origin in the area...Their children, on the other hand, grew up going to Italian schools and having Italian friends. More problems were imminent...most are just becoming teenagers now.”

Their problem is they fled (her parents) the misery and poverty caused by their backward Islamic-tribal culture, then want to retain that very culture in the West. In the cause of political correctness, many public officials look the other way as women and girls often live in terror.

National Review Online asked a group of experts: "There is rioting in Sudanese streets calling for the death of a woman over a teddy bear named Mohammed. The mob demanding the execution of Gillian Gibbons — for allowing her seven-year-old pupils to name a teddy bear Mohammed — may have been government-prompted. In any case, it represents the latest example of one type of Islamist aggression. Most Muslim-majority countries have rules against insulting the Islamic prophet — most notoriously, clauses 295 and 298 of the Pakistani penal code. Islamists capriciously use such laws as a weapon to hound free-thinking Muslims and non-Muslims.

In 2002, for example, 105 persons were killed in riots in Kaduna, Nigeria, following the publication of an article suggesting Mohammed would have approved of a beauty contest. At this very moment, mobs are howling in India for the death of Taslima Nasreen, the Bangladeshi author critical of Islam. Statements coming out of the West, from the Salman Rushdie affair in 1989, to the Danish cartoons, to Pope Benedict's speech in 2006, have inspired multiple violent eruptions.

These incidents point to two of the deepest problems in modernizing Islam. One is permitting freedom of speech concerning Mohammed, the Koran, and other aspects of the religion. The other concerns the right of Muslims to leave Islam. These twin transitions must be accomplished for Islam to leave its current backward and oppressive condition.

Enough is enough! Time to crack down!

In 2005 when two young Muslim criminals got themselves electrocuted fleeing police, France was torn apart by riots. The left-wing press attributed this to poverty, but in fact it was demands to impose Sharia Law. The six million Muslims of France have no interest in being French, adopting French culture, etc. They believe France (and the west in general) should conform to them. They burned lots of cars and caused millions in property damage. They want their own failed culture and a welfare check to boot.

In November 2007 two young Muslim/black criminals stole a motorcycle, raced along at high speed with no helmets, hit a police car and killed themselves. Claiming the police refused to help them (this was debunked, the police did nothing wrong), now we got riots again as pictured above. Emergency security measures were imposed after armed gangs turned the streets of the French capital into a battleground. The violence, which has spread to six towns north of Paris...More than 80 police officers have been injured in the running battles with gangs of hooded youths. In a second day of violence yesterday, the riots took a dramatic and potentially deadly new turn with the use of firearms against police...the violence overnight Monday to Tuesday was more intense than during three weeks of rioting in 2005. "Genuine urban guerillas with conventional weapons and hunting weapons" were among the rioters. The use of firearms added a dangerous new dimension. Guns were rarely used in the 2005 riots that spread to poor housing projects nationwide. Police are facing "a situation that is far worse than that of 2005," said Ribeiro, national secretary of the Synergie officers union. "Our colleagues will not allow themselves to be fired upon indefinitely without responding," he warned on RTL radio. "They will be placed in situations which will become untenable."

As much as want to believe most Muslims are not like this, and I'm sure some aren't, I'm forced to conclude most at least passvialy support replacing western democracy with Sharia. I consider this treason be it Islam, communnism, etc. This kind of open armed revolt (often edged on by the far left) will become more commonplace. At the same time, we must not only protect our borders and culture from being destroyed from the inside, we must treat the innocent fairly and not destroy our freedoms to save them. The last thing I want is to see Muslims or anyone else deprived of their freedom to worship and have equal protection under the law. Here is what I propose:

  1. Freeze all immigration. Not just from Muslim nations, but even Europe and Canada to the United States. Everyone must be treated equally.
  2. Impose and enforce a new criteria on all immigrants along the lines of the Danish model to include: attend three years of language classes. You must pass a test on nation's history, culture, and a language test. You must live in the country for 7 years before applying for citizenship. You must demonstrate an intent to work, and have a job waiting. If you wish to bring a spouse, you must both be over 24 years of age, and you won't find it so easy anymore to move your friends and family with you. (End chain migration.)
  3. In addition to deal with those here illegally: they have six months to leave and go to their home country to apply. After that it's a felony with mandatory jail and deportation. Obey all laws and no criminal activity of any kind for seven years. One is not allowed to receive any social programs during those seven years. Breaking any of these rules or not fulfilling the above requirements after seven years means permanent deportation.
  4. Along the lines of France, etc. the removal/deportation of all foreign trained clerics/imams from American mosques. Bar foreign funding and construction of mosques. Outlaw as hate groups the Muslim Brotherhood, the Saudi Wahhabi sect, or any other group preaching Islamic supremacy/hate just like white racist' hate groups. Freedom of religion doesn't mean crossing into politics and inciting sedition or murder. Shut down all Wahhabi based schools and mosques.
  5. Protect those wanting to leave Islam and encourage others to do so. Death threats will not be tolerated.
  6. Children born to these people during these seven years should not be allowed US citizenship unless their parents are legal citizens.
  7. Finally, they swear a loyalty oath to the US Constitution and renounce Shirea Law.

Police: Seattle shooting suspect ambushed teen Muslim man held on $50 million bail after deadly attack on Jewish center The Associated Press July 29, 2006

SEATTLE - The man suspected in a fatal shooting rampage hid behind a potted plant in a Jewish charity’s foyer and forced his way through a security door by holding a gun to a 13-year-old girl’s head, the police chief said Saturday. Naveed Afzal Haq opened fire with two semiautomatic pistols. One woman, Pam Waechter, 58, of Seattle was killed at the scene. Five more women were wounded.

Haq, a Muslim, told authorities he was angered by the war in Iraq and U.S. military cooperation with Israel. “He pointedly blamed the Jewish people for all of these problems...These are Jews and I’m tired of getting pushed around and our people getting pushed around by the situation in the Middle East.”

One of the women wounded in Friday’s shooting — hit in the arm as she shielded her pregnant belly — helped bring the crisis to an end by crawling into her office, calling 911, and convincing her assailant to talk to dispatchers. The 13-year-old girl taken hostage at the beginning of the melee was not shot.

El Al Ticket Agent Victoria Hen Victoria Hen was a victim of terrorism in America. She was shot and killed as she sat at her desk on July 4, 2002, El Al ticket counter in Los Angeles International Airport.

The LAX shooter was born in Egypt and lived here for a time as an illegal alien and was even considered for deportation until he got lucky when his wife won the Diversity Lottery that allows 55,000 people a year to enter the US to further diversity. This is based on the insane belief all cultures are equal.

The 41-year-old Egyptian national was carrying a 45-caliber semiautomatic Glock pistol, a 9-millimeter handgun and a 6-inch knife. Hadayet pulled out a gun, shot Hen, then began firing at 80 to 90 people who were waiting in line for El Al's outbound flight to Toronto and ultimately to Tel Aviv. He was shot dead by an El Al security guard. When police searched his apartment after the attack, they found a sign taped to his door saying, "Read the Koran." U.S. authorities subsequently ruled it a terrorist attack related to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

It took nine months for the FBI to call the crime an act of terrorism. In addition, it was reported just a few days after the shooting that Hadayet was connected with Egyptian Islamic Jihad and al Qaeda.

Vicky's parents revealed that they had planned a surprise party for the following day, at which her fiance was to have formally asked for her hand in marriage. The daughter of a family whose roots in the historical Israeli city of Safed go back some 700 years, Victoria was buried in Los Angeles.

Ahmed al Uqaily Ahmed Hassan Al-Uqaily, a resident of Nashville, told an acquaintance he wanted to "go Jihad" because he was unhappy about the war in Iraq, his home country. He was arrested Oct. 7 after paying $1,000 for the purchase of two disassembled machine guns, four disassembled hand grenades and hundreds of rounds of ammunition from a federal agent, so he was serious about murdering and blowing up. He also was interested in procuring handguns and missiles. According to the affidavit, Al-Uqaily expressed anger toward Jews and discussed Jewish facilities in Nashville, although he made no threats against specific sites.

This terrorist sounds like a random jihadist, rather than someone wired in to larger groups of sleeper cells; otherwise he would likely have easier access to weapons. But this case brings up the obvious question: why do we allow the continued immigration of potential enemies? Al Uqaily was caught because an old friend ran into him and didn't like what he heard, and the friend then became an informant. It was only luck that the would-be terrorist was arrested. He plead guilty to illegal possession of weapons. Sentencing is scheduled for October 24, and he may receive between 4 and 10 years in prison. Despite his humble employment at a doughnut shop, al Uqaily had $43,000 in his bank account. Some doughnuts. Thanks to Brenda Walker.

In a particularly tragic example of government inattention to illegal aliens who have run amok, one of the snipers who terrorized the Washington DC area for three weeks in October 2002 was a foreign national who had been apprehended the previous year. As a stowaway, he was required by law to be immediately deported back to his home country. Instead, the INS overruled the Border Patrol's designation and released John Lee Malvo upon the unsuspecting American public. Had immigration law been followed by the INS, there would have been no two-man hit team and it is likely that there would have been no devastating series of murders. As columnist Michelle Malkin has observed, the INS releases dangerous alien criminals all the time.

Australia: David Hicks, accused of joining Lashkar-i Tayyiba. Shane Kent, a red-haired, light-skinned former rock musician who trained in an Afghan terrorist camp, was one of the seventeen terrorist suspects detained in November 2005. Joseph Terrence Thomas, accused of training with and financing Al-Qaeda.

France: Willie Virgile Brigitte, accused of membership in Al-Qaeda and helping the Taliban murder Afghan leader Ahmed Shah Massoud. Jérôme Courtailler (brother of David), arrested with two other French converts, Johann Bonté and Jean-Marc Grandvisir, for a plot to blow up the American embassy in Paris. Lionel Dumont, blamed for several terrorist attacks, including one connected to a Group of Seven summit in 1996.

Germany: Michael Christian Ganczarski, held in France for suspected ties to Al-Qaeda and involvement in a bombing in Tunisia in 2002.

Switzerland: Albert Friedrich Armand Huber, designated a terrorist suspect by the U.S. government.

To quote, "Conversion to Islam substantially increases the probability of a person's involvement in terrorism." Immigrant Muslim converts from other Western Countries need a closer look.

The next time you are accosted with the idea that you should "celebrate diversity" please remember that some cultures accept despicable practices, including slavery even today. This well-to-do Saudi couple has been arrested for enslaving and abusing an illegal alien for four years in their Aurora, Colorado, home in their country's traditional fashion: slavery was not officially abolished in Saudi Arabia until 1962.

AURORA, Colo. -- A Saudi Arabian couple was in custody Friday, accused of turning a young Indonesian woman into a virtual slave, forcing her to clean, cook and care for their children while she was threatened and sexually assaulted. A federal grand jury on Thursday indicted Homaidan Al-Turki, 36, and his wife, Sarah Khonaizan, 35, on charges of forced labor, document servitude and harboring an illegal immigrant. Al-Turki also faces state charges including kidnapping, false imprisonment and extortion, as well as 12 charges of sexual assault. His wife faces some of the same charges. The two could be sentenced to life in prison if convicted.

IHC generally posts stories about illegal aliens who have committed crimes, but also believes that certain cultures have values so anathema to our own that they simply shouldn't be allowed to immigrate here, and Saudi Arabia is near the top of the list. The kingdom practices an extreme form of gender apartheid that, if it were aimed at a race instead of against women, would be condemned as thoroughly as South Africa was in an earlier time. In 2002, Saudi Arabia beheaded three men simply for being gay.

Furthermore, slavery-like conditions continue in the kingdom even now, particularly for immigrant workers, many of whom come from Indonesia and Sri Lanka. The cultural norm is to treat vulnerable foreigners like property, an attitude the Saudi couple apparently brought with them to America. Add in the Saudi's continuing financial support for Islamic terror worldwide, and we have to wonder why America's welcome mat is still out for Saudi Arabians.

More Slave-Holding Immigrants in the West by Daniel Pipes

My article "Saudis Import Slaves to America" lists instances of Saudi immigrants to the United States accused or convicted of holding slaves. This entry provides information on new cases, including non-Saudi instances and non-American ones.

Abdenasser Ennassime and his wife, Tonya, both immigrants from Morocco, were arrested in the Tacoma, Washington, area after being indicted. He is charged with one count of harboring an alien and one count of forced labor; she is just charged with harboring an alien. The alien in question is Lamia Ennassime, 17, the daughter Abdenasser's brother. Lamia arrived to her uncle and aunt at the age of 12 in September 2001, to help care for their young son and with housework in exchange for lodging and the chance to study. In fact, the accusation states, she made breakfast and dinner, did laundry, cleaned the house, and worked long hours without pay at the family's espresso stand. In March 2004, after Abdenasser read Lamia's diary, in which she complained about her mistreatment, he punched her three times in the face, withdrew her from school, and forced her to work even longer hours at the espresso stand. The couple's lawyer said Lamia made up the allegations as a way to remain in the United States. (December 16, 2005)

Amen brother Huma. NOI is the black version of the Ku Klux Klan, whose supporters include racist and anti-Semitic bigots like Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson. Let's not leave out the Liberal Left that has nothing bad to say about any of them as usual.
