The Truth about "Jewish Terrorism"By Lewis Loflin The following was posted on this website prior to January 1, 2003: 1994 February 24: In Hebron, US born Israeli settler Baruch Goldstein, a member of Kach, opened fire on Muslim worshipers in the cave of the Patriarchs, killing 29 people and wounding over 100 more. Palestinians in the Mosque then beat Goldstein to death. 1994 February 27: Israel issued orders for the administrative detention of 5 members of Kach and Kahane Chai movements, and announced that some settlers in Hebron would be disarmed and approximately 15 would be barred from entering the West Bank. A commission was created to investigate the Hebron killings. Israel also announced the planned release of 1,000 Palestinians prisoners by March 7. 1994 March 13: Israel outlawed Kach and Kahane Chai, branding them "terrorist organizations", and outlawed any financial or verbal support to the groups. The Israeli Army clarified orders on the use of weapons against Jewish settlers, stating that soldiers can open fire during any life-threatening situation involving either Palestinians or Israelis. November 4, 1995: A young Jewish man murdered Yitzchak Rabin. The murderer, Yigal Amir, is a member of Eyal, an offshoot of the racist Kach group formed by Kahane. Kahane was born in the US. He became a rabbi but was dismissed by his congregation for 'excessive religious zeal'. This is the usual Leftist view of the conservative Jews on the West Bank and Gaza. It also turned to be a total lie and I fell for it. Or I should say I didn't know what to look for. I did check for example that Kach and Kahane Chai are listed as terrorists groups with the US government and they are. A visitor to this site gave me the information that was missing from the press and here is the truth that anyone could find out. The only significant terrorist actions carried out by Jews where the murder of Rabin and the murder carried out by Goldstien. Lone individuals, similar to the Oklahoma City bombing, carried both out. Just like OKC, there were cries of right wing this and that. Other than those two unfortunate incidents, Jewish terrorism is virtually unknown. As correctly pointed out, Eyal was not an offshoot of Kach or anything else because it never existed. It was set up by a man named Avishi Raviv who filmed a fake swearing in ceremony with a few teenagers he entrapped (minors, 15 and 16 year olds) for the purpose of defaming the settlers. He worked for the Israeli internal security service known as the Shabak. He was an agent provocateur who pretended to be a religious extremist and was authorized to carry out criminal activity (incitement, attacking moderate Jews and Arabs, vandalism) as part of his assignment to infiltrate and defame Jewish settlers living in Judea, Samaria (aka West Bank) and Gaza. Currently, Raviv is on trial for having known about Rabin's murder and not preventing it. The assassination of Prime Minister Rabin launched the same atmosphere of conspiracy theories and finger pointing as the Kennedy assassination. What really seems to have happened (it's up to Israeli courts to figure out) is this Raviv was sent by the Israeli Left to discredit those Jews living in the West Bank to make the land give-away to the Arafat/Egyptian PLO sellable with the general Israeli public. Raviv is accused of knowing something about the assassination beforehand and his agitation may have tripped Yigal Amir over the edge. Under Orthodox Judaism the murder of a fellow Jew must be the ultimate sin. So far, only Yigal Amir and his brother Hagai were the only ones convicted and Raviv is on trial. Many are sure he won't be convicted, because he would take too many people down with him, including an Israeli Supreme Court judge who was the one who authorized his criminal activities.
What about Kahane and Kach?As far as the so-called Kach and Kahane racists, they are insignificant, having maybe a few hundred members out of a population of over 5 million Jews in Israel. They as a group have NEVER BEEN CONVICTED OR HAVE EVER BEEN KNOWN to have carried out any terror attacks against anyone. Why are they even called "racists" or even listed as terrorist organizations? In my opinion they are neither and it's all about political correctness. The following is some material from a pro-Kahane website: Knesset's 13 Arab members now function as a psychological fifth column, openly backing Israel's enemies. After Israel's retaliatory attack against a Syrian radar station in Lebanon In April 2001 in which three Syrian soldiers were killed, Knesset member Abdulmalik Dehamshe sent a condolence letter to President Bashar al-Assad and listed his return address as "Nazareth, Palestine." Another Knesset member, Azmi Bashara, flew to Damascus and appeared on Syrian television, urging Arab steadfastness against Israel.
All of this is true and just because Kahane and Kach advocate that treasonous and disloyal Arabs be expelled from Israel made them "racists" under some vague "anti-racism" or political correctness law. Yet disloyal Israeli Arabs (many are not) advocate Jewish genocide and even visit terror states like Syria. As the Kahane website went on: In Israel, the Kahanists from Kach have been driven underground because their opinions have been criminalized. Kach and its affiliates have been declared "terrorist organizations" and have been banned as "racist organizations" under Israel`s arbitrarily applied "anti-racist" laws. Arab political parties and politicians advocating genocide of Jews have never been similarly indicted or criminalized. But Kahane made the following very clear: Note: Among the Arabs within Israel are the Druze and Bedouin minorities, many of whom ARE loyal to Israel and are even drafted into the Israel Defense Forces along with their Jewish counterparts. These "good Arabs" HAVE earned the right to live within the State of Israel! Kahane never advocated expelling say Negro Ethiopian Jews or loyal Arabs and there is no way this is "racist" or "terrorism." Like the American Left, the Israeli Left makes excuses for Arab terrorists and Arafat yet tries to silence those that display common sense. But Israelis must be careful because who knows when some other person will go over the edge. One example is an Arab bus driver from Gaza with a wife and five children who was cleared to work in Israel to feed his family. He runs down and kills eight Israelis at a bus stop for nothing. They also had riots and at least one homicide bomber who was an Israeli Arab. (He killed three, wounded many others at a train station.) While strongly denounced by the Israeli-Arab community, all this can do is worsen relations. Some public opinion polls in Israel show many Israelis consider the growing conflict between secular and Orthodox Jews as big a threat as the Arab fundamentalists. To kill or hate another Jew is forbidden in the Torah and ranks as the worst of crimes. Needed Israeli Political ReformIsrael needs to reform its political system. Israel is an almost dysfunctional democracy, and while much better then anything else in the region, needs repair. It suffers from a chaotic parliamentary system that gives too much power to fringe parties and they also lack a formal bill of rights to protect religious and ethnic minorities. Israel, a nation of six million, has 29 political parties. Quoting Arlene Peck, "the electoral system in Israel is a cancer because of the conflicts arising from the dozen or so splinter groups that manage to bring down the government like clockwork every few years. It's certainly not a democracy, as we know it, but, some sort of vague patchwork of a legislature. The entire system is such a mess that the inequities...have given the religious parties more power than their numbers deserve" This growing problem of the ultra-religious trying to impose their beliefs on both secular Jews and non-Jews alike and has led to bitter divisions in Israeli society. Israel is becoming "nations" within a nation. Not only do Orthodox have their own separate communities and exempted from most civil functions such as the military, but Christians, Druze, etc. also have their own civil court systems. Before it destroys itself, Israel needs to form a constitutional republic along the lines of the United States. This would lesson the power of fringe parties and make a more stable and united nation. It must enact a bill of rights and a single legal system for all citizens Jews and non-Jews alike. There must be an absolute separation of religion and state with equal treatment for all. Religious fanatics mustn't be allowed to force their beliefs on others.
