Death Investigation Turns Up Mushroom Grow Lab

May 13, 2013 According to Sheriff Ed Graybeal, Washington County Sheriff Officers responded to a death investigation at 101 Rambling Road, and upon arrival located a 24 year old female dead of a apparent gunshot wound. The name is being withheld until the investigation is complete and notification of the next of kin.

While processing the scene there was a locked room, a search warrant was obtained and served and officers discovered what turned out to be a large mushroom grow lab. Inside they recovered 700 mushrooms, two firearms, one-quarter pound marijuana and one-quarter pound dried mushrooms. Warrants have been issued for Kelvin Barnard Conerway W/M age 25 for Manufacture Schedule I, Possession of Schedule VI for resale, possession of a firearm while committing a dangerous felony, and maintaining a dwelling where drugs are sold. A bond was set for $40,000.00 and officers are currently looking for him at this time.
