Muslims, Leftists riot in Greece
In Greece the recent riots by "youths" as reported by the New York Times agains betrays their left-wing bias and why the newspaper faces bankruptsy. This was the culmination of communist agitators and possible hords of illegal aliens, mostly Muslim and/or African, overrunning much of Europe. Let's take a closer look at history of a problem every Western nation will be facing unless we get the will and backbone to remove and keep out these hordes of third-world criminals and deal with the violent left.
These latest riots seem leftists, there's no proof I can find of Muslims or Africans this time.
21 August 2007 BBC Greek riots over Nigerian's death
African illegals blame Greek police because criminal kills himself fleeing from a crime. This is what cause Muslim rioting in Frnace when young third-worls criminals flee police and get themselves killed. In that case two hoodlums got electricuted hiding in a power substation.
In this case Greek police have clashed with African illegal aliens protesting over the death of a Nigerian man in the northern city of Thessaloniki. Police fired tear gas at a stone-throwing crowd. The Nigerian in his 20s died after he jumped from a building where he was selling pirated DVDs in a cafe. (He killed himself.) Protests first took place on when angry migrants (illegal aliens) gathered outside the cafe and threw stones and chairs at police, AP news agency reports...
Greece: Immigrants and anarchists erect barricades
November 08 2008 ref. WorkerFreedom. Here is the typical socialist view. In fact they were rioting demanding to be given Greek citizenship to get into the EU. This is a sample of what is going on across the West. This was not an attack, but riot control.
Immigrants joined by local anarchists erect barricades after riot police charges once more on the asylum-paper queue outside central immigration office in Athens...two weeks ago one Pakistani man was killed on the spot, whereas two more succumbed to their wounds days later in the hospital. The "assassinations" had caused a mass rally in the center of Athens called by the Pakistani Community and joined by hundreds in solidarity. This time the reaction of the immigrants was immediate. Resisting police force, they erected barricades blockading the avenue running past the immigration office with barricades, effectively blocking one of the main east west arteries of the Greek capital.
Joined by local anarchists...the immigrants (iilegal aliens) demanded the immediate release of 3 persons wounded and arrested during the morning raid. The protest numbering more than 500 people kept the road blocked for more than 5 hours and conceded to leave only after their "comrades" were released and the police national leadership agreed to begin talks with Pakistani Community reps about improving and speeding up asylum procedures.
By giving in to the rioters, they were asking for more trouble and they got. This time it was 15-year-old Alexis Grigoropoulos. The Nation (December 9, 2008) called him "a child" with a "chubby face and long brown curls" and he "didn't hang out at the mall." Instead was in Exarcheia, a neighborhood of leftists, anarchists, drug addicts, etc. They were there to party. To quote, "some unknown people passed and threw small objects at the car; the officers stopped, walked back to Alexis's group and began to curse and threaten them. According to one of the boys, Alexis tossed an empty plastic bottle. The officer aimed and fired three shots, two in the air and one that pierced his chest." But that's not what really happened. These people often resort to violnce. "According to the police, two police officers had been patrolling Exarchia when their car was stopped by some 30 young men, many of them hurling stones. The officers left their car to confront the mob, “firing three shots that resulted in the death of the minor,” according to a police statement." (NYT)
December 8, 2008 New York Times "Youth" Riots in Greece Enter a Second Day
To quote,
"The youths regularly clash with the police, whom they view as symbols of the establishment. In most cases, the confrontations are relatively contained and end at the gates of universities with the young people holding off the police with gasoline bombs, rocks and slingshots...dozens of officers had been injured while trying to seal off streets around Athens Polytechnic University, in the Exarchia neighborhood, where rioters retreated. The protesters, hiding behind blazing trash bins and the university’s gates, continued to pelt the police with stones and fire bombs. It remained unclear on Sunday night whether the authorities would try to get permission to storm the state university...(as is typical)...At least one apartment building was evacuated after masked youth torched a French car dealership on its ground level. (The leftist youths often attack Western targets.) The private television station Alpha reported that flames were lapping at some of the apartments’ balconies...." "
Those accounts were also posted on www.indymedia.org, a Web site popular with leftist youth. To quote them, "Rallies, demonstrations, direct actions and riots took place all around the country. In Thessaloniki, a big spontaneous demonstration took place, while 2 Police Departments were attacked, several bank departments were burnt and Egnatia str., the main street, was block(ed) by burning trash bins for hours. Reports have been also posted about actions in Yannena, Iraklio [photos] Chania, Komotini, Mitilini, Xanthi, Serres, Sparta, Alexandroupolis and Volos. Demonstrations in all cities of Greece have been announced for Sunday 7 December afternoon, starting at 1pm."
There's nothing "spontaneous" about it, it was planned.
December 10, 2008 Funeral Leads to More Greece Mayhem
A fourth day of rioting erupted here and around Greece...On Tuesday, bands of militant youths threw gasoline bombs and smashed shop windows in downtown Athens, as rioters battled with the police here in the capital and in Salonika, Greece’s second largest city. In the port city of Patras, residents tried to protect their shops from rioters, while other rioters blocked the police station...At the Athens police headquarters, a spokesman said 12 police officers had been wounded in fighting with demonstrators that flared at 10 major locations around the Greek capital on Monday night. He said 87 protesters had been arrested and 176 people briefly detained because of the confrontations.
In the shattered city center on Tuesday, street-cleaning trucks tackled the mess. Mayor Nikitas Kaklamanis advised Athenians not to drive into the city center and asked them to keep their trash indoors; rioters burned 160 big garbage containers in the streets on Monday night...
"No one has the right to use this tragic incident as an alibi for actions of raw violence, for actions against innocent people, their property and society as a whole, and against democracy," Mr. Karamanlis said after an emergency meeting with President Karolos Papoulias...
"They chose to show tolerance, which backfired," said Nikos Kostandaras, the editor of Kathimerini, a daily newspaper. The riots, he added, "were radicalizing every sector of the population." He is right.
The New York Times again went on with right-wing this and that, I won't waste my time repeating it. All of the rioting and destruction is being commited by the left.
Western denial: The fact that terrorist fish are swimming in a hospitable Muslim sea nearly disappears amidst Western political, journalistic, and academic bleatings. Call it political correctness, multiculturalism, or self-loathing; whatever the name, this mentality produces delusion and dithering. D. Pipes
